K. Chanin’s son once asked: “Why aren’t our fingerprints the same?”
This set of wall art expresses the unique characteristics of individual fingerprints. K. Chanin uses a technique of joining brass pieces together, using black to define the fingerprint patterns, resulting in a strikingly realistic effect.
Sometimes we tend to overlook the uniqueness of something as small as a fingerprint that reminds us of the individuality we all carry. Much like brass, each piece bears its own marks and identity. K. Chanin draws from this idea, expressing the concepts of uniqueness and identity through his brass pieces.
